The "Revedere" Concert – a lyrical celebration of Romanian cultural values

January 12, 2025, 7:00 PM

National Theatre Bucharest - Studio Hall

On January 12th, the host tenor Ştefan von Korch, along with guests Oana Maria Şerban - soprano and Adrian Mărcan - baritone, will put their artistic talent into a tribute show dedicated to Romania as an inexhaustible source of talent, creativity and artistic manifestation. By subtly combining the lyricism of great poets and the melodies that have marked generations, the show aims to bring closer to the soul of the audience that pure and true emotion, specifically Romanian.

Tenor Ştefan von Korch, host soloist and artistic coordinator, details: «The "Revedere" concert naturally integrates into the unfolding of Musical Extravaganza: bordering on the National Culture Day and the birthday of the unparalleled poet Mihai Eminescu, our steps lead us towards the national heritage. Each artistic moment will be a plea for authenticity, tradition, and the beauty of Romanian expression. The classical sphere and creations of popular inspiration will intertwine, we will give from the heart arias from operettas, but also doinas or lieder, we will evoke in Romanian both joy and love and longing.»

The show's program brings together works of a special sensitivity, from creations by Romanian composers such as „Bagă Doamne luna-n nor" or „Mult mă-ntreabă inima", to disturbing doinas on Eminescu's verses like „De ce nu-mi vii" or „Revedere".

An event dedicated to all those who believe in the power of art to unite, to move and to keep alive the autochthonous cultural values.
