Thursday, November 28, we invite you to an exceptional concert by Taraf de Caliu, the band that carries on the authentic heritage of Lăutărească music from Clejani.Originally from the village of Clejani, these artists are one of the most vibrant expressions of Romanian lăutărească culture. Led by maestro Gheorghe "Caliu" Anghel, former member of the legendary Taraf de Haidouks, the musicians of Taraf de Caliu tell stories through sound, stories about freedom, love, longing, and dignity.
The violin, the cymbalom, the accordion, the double bass, and the clarinet intertwine in a vibrant dialogue, full of force and sensitivity.
