IONA – Marin Sorescu
In the interpretation of Claudiu Bleonț
National Theatre "Marin Sorescu" Craiova
December 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM
A meeting with one of the most powerful texts of Romanian dramaturgy, in an interpretation that transforms the stage into a space of questions, of searching, and of meeting with one's own self.
„Iona" by Marin Sorescu, as interpreted by Claudiu Bleonț, is more than a performance. It is a journey into the depths of man – about loneliness, freedom, limits, fear, hope, and the need to find meaning when you feel trapped in a "bag" of your own existence.
Iona seeks the way out.
We, each in our own way, seek it.
Claudiu Bleonț brings to the stage a living, vulnerable, strong, and profoundly human Iona, in a performance that does not end with the last word.
After the performance, the encounter continues.
The audience will have the opportunity to stay with Claudiu Bleonț in an open dialogue about life, theater, and film, about the similarities between the characters we build on stage and the roles we play in real life.
A sincere conversation about experiences, choices, people, events, and about the sometimes very fine line between theater, film, and life.
A show.
A meeting.
A conversation about us.
Come and meet Iona.
And stay after the show for the story that begins beyond the stage."
