Extraordinary Concert: THE ROMANCE FAMILY

📅 Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 7:00 PM

📍 Performance Hall (Ion Dacian National Theatre of Operetta and Musical)

Although recognized as the undisputed master of operetta, Ion Dacian always held a deep love for romance, a musical genre to which he lent the sensitivity of his voice and in which he left a memorable recording. This soul connection is the basis for including romance in the "Ion Dacian Week" series of events.

Within this series of events, we invite you to an exceptional concert dedicated to Romanian romance – a musical genre of national cultural heritage, part of the intangible cultural heritage and proposed for the UNESCO Representative List. Held under the patronage of the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO and associated with the National Romance Festival "Golden Chrysanthemum", the event celebrates Romanian tradition, poetry, and identity through its defining virtues: longing, love, hope, and faith.

The theatre stage will bring together great established performers and young festival laureates, in a musical spectacle of high artistic caliber: Alina Mavrodin Vasiliu, Elina Velica, Marius Bălan, Ana Cebotari, Geanina Munteanu, Rodica Ștefan, and Ștefan Alexandru Constantin, accompanied by the Orchestra of the Ion Dacian National Theatre of Operetta and Musical, under the baton of conductor Alexandru Ilie. The presentation will be hosted by Alina Mavrodin Vasiliu.

We await you for a memorable evening dedicated to the Romanian soul and unforgettable song!

Tickets are available online and at the theatre's box office.
