National Tour Bogdan Mihai Simion & Lăutarii de Mătase 

The tour features a new musicality !!! The traditional music collector and one of the last cobză singers from Romania, Simion Bogdan-Mihai, along with his band, Lăutarii de Mătase, embark on a new tour, bringing a renowned trumpeter to the band!

Born in 1990 in Râmnicu-Vâlcea, Bogdan began studying the cobză at just 15 years old, dedicating his life to collecting and interpreting authentic lăutărească music. Since 2006, he has traveled throughout Romania, discovering forgotten songs and learning from the last cobzari of tradition.

Over time, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Mihai Mărgineanu, Taraf de Haidouks, Les Elephants Bizarres, Chimie, Samurai, and many others. He composed the soundtrack for the successful documentaries „Flavours of Romania" and „Wild Carpathia," directed by British journalist Charlie Ottley.

His albums – „Valahia în Demol" (2021) and „Drum pavat cu bolovani" (2023), both produced by Adrian Despot – have recorded sales records and established him as one of the most important contemporary traditional music artists.

His music blends three major influences: Romanian peasant music, urban lăutărească music, and classic Romanian pop music (waltzes, tangos, and cabaret songs from the first half of the 20th century).
