The National Athenaeum of Iași invites you on FRIDAY, November 7th at 7:00 PM, to the performance of Zorba the Greek, a show about people with hot blood, about wildness and human maladjustment, about the meanings of life. The show is entirely dominated by Zorba, and actor Marius Bodochi is the perfect choice for this role. Zorba's exuberance, the character's ability to see only the bright side of life and to transfer his optimistic attitude to those around him, combined with the metaphor of dancing on the deserted beach make this show an unforgettable experience.
Zorba the Greek is a show – simply – joy. The adventurer Zorbas is the simple man, with a big heart and an unlearned mind, but with an inner power that opened him early to life experiences. Arrived at a crossroads, the intellectual tormented by existential problems meets the Greek who enjoys every moment of life, every moment of the day and who feels every feeling with boundless intensity. Loyal friends and companions for a period, the rich man learns from the poor man, but full of inner riches, priceless lessons about joy, balance, pride and honor.
A journey in time on a magical island, a true lesson on how to love, to live, about life and death and about how to remain HUMAN. That's what Zorba left us!
"- Are you taking me with you?
– Where?
– Wherever God gives…!"
This is where our show begins! We are waiting for you to discover together that "life is a joke"!
