"Ion Dacian" National Operetta and Musical Theatre Hall

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Johann Strauss the Younger – the composer who transformed the waltz from a social dance into symphonic art.
On this occasion, the "Ion Dacian" National Operetta and Musical Theatre presents a unique anniversary concert in Romania:
a Strauss Concert performed by the Salon Orchestra of TNOMID, in the format and style in which this music was originally conceived for imperial salons, not for formal stages.
The sound, repertoire, style and stage presence respect the authentic Viennese tradition.
Nothing is adapted. Nothing is compromised.
 
The program includes waltzes, polkas, galops and well-known or rediscovered orchestral works, in original orchestrations, performed by the Salon Orchestra of the "Ion Dacian" National Operetta and Musical Theatre, alongside the theater's soloists.
