With dramatic scenes, intense moments and music that combines contemporary elements with influences from Romanian folklore, "Meșterul Manole - Opera rock" captures the essence of deep human experiences and the inner struggle of the characters. This production represents an emotional and sonic journey into a mythical universe, where sacrifice and passion for creation meet in a fascinating tableau.

The concert-show „Meșterul Manole - Opera Rock” is intended not only for lovers of rock music, but also for those passionate about mythology and epic stories. It is an experience that transcends genres, bringing to the forefront human values and dilemmas that continue to fascinate and inspire in any era.

„The opera represents a large musical work, based on a libretto written in the '70s by Victor Cârcu. This work can be presented both in the form of a classical opera and in a concertante form. The birth of «Meșterul Manole» was as difficult as the realization of its constructions. The difficulty consisted, first of all, in finding the musical language that would be in accordance with the text. When I found this language, of folk inspiration, of course, I started the work, which lasted from 2008 to today (2013), with a two-year interruption.” – Josef Kappl
